As a result of the many requests from our customers in the transport industry for help with advertising applications on their trucks, Chantum has now become a full signage and lettering company. The solutions that we offer range from interior applications to truck signage, and from large prints to special projects. We provide a short overview here, focusing on our transport connection. For more information about this and all our other activities, please see chantum.be (website in dutch)
One product that we are particularly proud of is our full colour prints. Their quality and finish ensure that these tarpaulins retain their appearance for many years. These tarpaulins avoid the problem of advertising soon starting to look dirty. This offers unrivalled added value for advertising that can be sure of getting a huge number of views every day along Belgian and international roads.
The secret of our strong prints is the 2-component coating. This non-polar varnish coat protects the print and the tarpaulin against dirt adhesion and all adverse weather conditions. Cleaning is much easier than with ordinary tarpaulins. Unlike water-based varnish and other UV ink coatings, our coating melts into the ink and the canvas, to create a strong whole.
Before a logo or attractive print can be added to a truck cover, a design first needs to be created. Our experienced graphics department adapts existing designs and new designs by external graphic designers or creates a completely new design or logo itself, in consultation with you.
To ensure proper processing of your image material, we recommend that you read through our guidelines. You can request these by email.
Our tarpaulins offer a solution within a market where costs, durability and identity play an increasingly important role. The longer lifespan means that transport companies can drive around care-free for many years with their customer’s advertising. As an added extra, we offer a five-year guarantee on preservation of colour intensity, adhesion, cracking and dirt adhesion.
The coating is a specially developed standard that remains attractive for a long time and requires less maintenance. A unique, synthetic, dirt-repellent PU coating is used. This can make cleaning kinder to the environment and required less often than the generally recognised and applicable maintenance standards. This in turn generates savings on maintenance costs, since aggressive, expensive cleaning products are no longer needed.
Reduced maintenance, longer lifespan, lasting experience of attractive colours and the many valuable views you get make the investment well worth it.
Extensive research has been carried out into the impact of UV radiation on the surface of a varnish coat and the resulting consequences for flexibility, discolouration, repelling of dirt and adhesion. Our two-component coating passed these tests with flying colours.
The images are printed on the highest quality 900 g/m² tarpaulin, with a grey coating on the inside. This quality canvas helps to guarantee the durability of the truck curtain. Their resistance to mechanical stress and extreme weather conditions ensures that our full-colour tarpaulins look as good as new after five years.
Because of a low printing speed, a specific designed color management system and the special coating, Chanterie delivers stunning sharp images and powerfull colors. The coating has a high gloss finish. UV light has no influence on our lacquer. Our coating unifies with the inks into the canvas and so has no problem dealing with mechanical stress in contrast with water based coating which cannot cope with mechanical stress.
Our production and colour management systems keep records of every production run and ensure continuous control of the lacquer formula. This creates a consistent process that helps guarantee the uniform quality of your canvas, even if production runs over different years.
The application of advertising to truck covers originally started by hand with paint and a brush. This craftsmanship still sets the tone at Chantum, with professionals who have been practising this technique for decades now. Today, we use stencils cut by a computer, resulting in a product with a neat finish. You can also come to Chantum to have your cover (when made somewhere else) painted.
Chanterie is an expert not only when it comes to printing or painting but also in the application of vinyl foil. This can be printed or cut. We can add lettering to back doors, cabins, entire trucks, vans, cars, all kind of vehicles.
Chantum offers a wide variety of products.
Of course, as a tarpaulin cover company, we also supply banners. We can provide banners of the same quality as our printed tarpaulins or you can choose a printed standard banner. You will also find frames and hanging accessories in our range.
